Hi

I have a 1989 1.8 GT2 Scirocco. Recently it has been suffering loss of power when driving, it starts to splutter and as soon as I engage the clutch it cuts out. Most of the time it starts up after a minute or two and idles with no problems, but as soon as I drive it again the problem returns.

I reckon it's being starved of petrol for some reason but im not too sure. If anyone knows of any other reasons why this may be happening then your help would be appreciated.

check to see is the needle in the metering head sticking.
