Hi guys. I am thinking about purchasing an '01 Passat for my work car since I drive farther now. Only problem is a am totally new to the Volkswagen, front wheel drive car arena. Are there any issues I need to look at here before I buy this car? Any quick checks to do? What are common problems?

try to verify what services have been done on car.
try to buy one owners cars and if she looks good.

not just a fresh detail I mean looks good minor wear and tear you could have found a good one.
