hello, I have a 1996 Jetta diesal . My problem is the speedometer is only working sporadically. The tack doesn't work when the speedometer stops. Does anyone know why this happens or what I can look for to fix this problem. It does work sometimes... Sad Rolling Eyes

Hello, MMMM I would pop my instrument cluster out. I have had this before with a bad printed circuit board. Perhaps the plug in the back is loose,or a wire is frayed<unlikely. Good luck allan

LOL Isn't it grand... I love my VW as well, and I shouldn't complain as the driving part is super and the fuel mileage is phenomenal, I guess I will put up with it till my husband can fix it. Thanks for responding... Cool
