Recommended Oil for 1990 gas Jetta? |
|
Could anyone tell me the recommended summer oil for a 1990 gas jetta with 1.8 L engine? The valves are noisy for the first few minutes. I am wondering if the 10W40 I am using is the wrong stuff.

Your not using the wrong stuff!! should be ok.
Try 15w40 or even 20w50 the thicker the bettter!!
Add a bottle of Lucas oil treatment it'll help!!
Your in B.C. you should be running 5w30 or 5w40 in the winter right now!
I've visited and didn't ever want to leave!!!
