radio problem/electrical problem - vw touran 54 reg |
|
hi i hope someone can help, all of a sudden my radio seems to be turning itself on. i can lock the car and go in my house, shop etc... and when i go back to my car the radio is playing to itself - luckily so far i've returned before the battery dies. also i've been driving with the radio off and all of a sudden it turns itself on. i've taken the fuse out for now and my local vw garage has done a diagnostic check but nothing was found. has anyone else had this problem and if yes how can i fix it????????????????? please someone help!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Aby, If you leave cookies and milk out for the leapracons, they will not play tricks on you. Seriously Your radio is at fault. Allan

Hi Aby - did you end up with a solution by any chance?
I ask because we have just experienced exactly the same problem also on a 54 Touran. Unfortunately it caused the battery to run flat so now we are driving with the fuse out as well. Our problem seems to be a faulty CD unit, which keeps constantly trying to load a disk (with "CD Error" & "Service" then shown on the display). Even with the ignition off and car locked, this action turns the radio on and hence flattens the battery. I'm assuming a new CD/radio unit is in order but wondered whether you had a different outcome.
Thanks,
Nick

Ouch - sorry to hear about the issues - I've certainly heard of EPS issues, but this is a new one on me.
