Polo Temperature Warning Light |
|
I have a 91 Polo. The water temp warning light is on - flashing continuously. Water Temp and Levels are all O.K. Apart from being a nuisance I live in Portugal and have my inspection ( MOT ) in April, this will result in a fail. Any ideas on how to solve this. I am reluctant to disconnect the lamp - it is there for a purpose !!!

I there, i also live in Portugal, so i'm Tuga!!! My temp light also turned on yesterday, but the temp gauge said 110șC so a major problem on the way (or maybe not, lets see....) The problem you referenced is due to either a faulty sensor (Diferent from the temperature sensor) that is located (i think) on the upper tube from the radiator or a shot circuit somewere in the cable from the sensor to the warning light itself that grounds it. Try to disconect it and see what happends
