Performance question??? |
|
Hello, I have a '02 Jetta 1.8T.
I am looking to put a little extra kick/horse power to my Jetta. I am a newbie to this sort of thing so forgive me for not knowing much of the jargon. The car is completely stock. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Also, I am looking for some rims... so if anyone has any available. post up
Thanks!

you should look into getting a ecu which is a computer chip and putting on an intake, then see where you are.
you should be pretty happy with the results.

Awesome, thank you very much for the advice. As far as price goes, how much do these things cost? Also, are there any brands that you would recommend?

well three basic mods are usually headers, cold air intake, and exhaust.a computer chip would give you and nice kick but i dont know much about brands.some kind of force induction either a turbo or supercharger will help you alot but if you use it alot and you sprint itll kill your gas mileage

chip or remap will be the easiest option.
the turbo boost on them is turned down so if you gat a boost controller they can be screwed up.
turbo is big enough as it is to take the extra boost if you put on bigger waste gate and intercooler.

you could try a front mount intercooler to replace the factory side mount. it shoud give you a little extra hp.
