I am currently driving a 2003 Jetta 1.8t and i am considering doing some aftermarket upgrades. The first thing i want to do is cold air intake but i dont know what brand to get, i am new to the import world! I am also considering maybe a chip and maybe even a new downpipe, will any of these give me exceptional changes in throttle response and power???

with the intake and the chip you will probably see a little better gas milage and faster revs. it wont be a really drastic change however. im not sure what difference it would make whith a downpipe.

smooth all the ridges from inside your standard air box, attatch a 3'' cold air feed and fit a green panned filter, for a good exhaust n not costly mod. from cat back get a straight through stainless steel excluding the back box replacing with a continuing straight pipe all way through, then get a custom map to suit the mods, you will get great gains
