 noises at start up |

i have a 2001 jetta wolfsburg edition 1.8t
When I start it it makes weird noises when I start it but later after like 3-5 minutes it stopes idles lower and makes little noise. And this happens in normal temperatures too like when its in the garage. Is this normal or is something wrong? The car has also been have overheating issues that im going to take care of on monday.

you may be talking about the secondary air pump. does it sound like a blower or turbo fan that runs about 20 seconds or so then stops?

it goes for like 2 minutes it idels at like 1.25 and then it idles a little than 1
