Hello All,
I'm a new member to this forum ready to get a mkV GTI (4-Door, manual, united grey w/ autobahn package), my local dealer (G/C VW of New Hyde Park) is now telling me that VW is refusing orders on 2008 North America bound GTI's, which sounds like bull to me... especially b/c I was under the impression that the mkV was NA bound until the 2010 model year.
Can anybody shed some light on this? The guy I've been speaking to has to ask his manager in order to answer any question I ask him so I'm leaning towards another NYC area dealer anyway.
the 1800DRIVEVW number confirmed that they haven't heard anything about this either, just triple checking before I blast this guy.

i don't know when you talked to your guy but I just bought my new 08 GTI on march 28 and i asked if i could special order another one he said yea but the package and style i wanted would take longer.

checked with my dealer down the street said no prob on ordering GTI.
Blow that guy up. cause somthing is wrong.

yep, moved my business elsewhere.
I'm ordering one next week from Koeppel in Brooklyn.
very psyched.
Itll be a nice change from my '98 Wrangler with 35's.
