My name is steve and im new to this site and in te next couple weeks i am planing to buy a new 08 GTI MK5. I know it is still early in the year but does anybody know a good site for after market parts for this car.

Well this is the first car i will be doing modifications to, overall i want to increase the Hp and if i can make the car lighter.

most likely you will have to buy upgraded parts from the VW dealer or you will void you warranty. but if you dont care bout the warranty then look up parts from forge and nuespeed, both good suppliers for VW's. and try to find a local shop that specializes in VW's..

VW dealers do not do upgrades.

they do maybe wheels and tires ground kits that are factory maybe some interor stuff but no power or coilover kits.
