Need Help ! Jetta o2 Sensor Mess .. New Sensor wont go in no |
|
Hey guys ,
I have a 2000 VW Jetta 2.0
I removed my oxygen just as it explains here ... i did the one that goes into the pipe .... http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=990129
It was Real hard to take it off .. but i finally did after 2 days of trying on and off . When it came off the O2 sensor was a mess .
Now when i went in to try and put the new o2 sensor in , the new o2 sensor wouldn't screw on right ,, So i figured the thread might have been rounded off some in the process of removing the old one...
I tried using TAP to retread the hole and it is impossible now it seems ...
The o2 just wont screw on right ,,, it wont seal the hole....
What can i do now?
Give me your ideas ...
Do i solder in the o2 sensor to the Catalytic converter ...
Do i buy a new catalytic Converter ?
Ideas ....
I want it to be done right and im not triying to spend too much money ... im trying to save what left of it .. Im trying to get this fixed ASAP
Help me out guys..
Thanks..
