I love my new 2008 Passat 2.0 T but I'm disappointed that it only burns premium unleaded gas. Premium unleaded cost as much as $3.99 a gallon where I live! The sales people didn't tell me this when I was checking out the car. The "T" stands for Turbo which probably requires that you use the premium unleaded gas. The gas mileage is fine when you don't "put your foot in it"!

Don't get to disappointed, the use of premium reduces mechanical repairs in the future.

Congrats on your purchase!

Premium gas burns cleaner and faster, and gives you better mileage. Be happy that your car wants the best of the best. That means it will stay in nice shape for a while.
