hello, guys im pretty new to the site.

i have owned the car for about a month and half. and yesterday just died on me. when i was trying to leave
it wouldnt start on me NO click click it was just silent then i tried jumping it nothing happen either. i towed it to my house
(which was covered by my insurance) because the VW dealership was closed, then towed it again from my hosue to the
dealership. i told the mechanics the car is dead, he tried nothing either, somehow he got it to start. but they took it in to
check what was srong with it. CAN ANYBODY KNOW what exactly wrong with it? maybe engine maybe trans? I dont know
much about cars. thanks for your time.

Friend of mine had a similar problem with her 2004 Jetta. Seemed like some sort of electrical bug that the could not diagnose, even after like 5 visits. Her car used to just turn off on her, sometimes in the middle of driving. They never did find out what was wrong.

i know it maybe sounds stupid but check your battery nodes, they maybe corroded and whatnot...give them a good cleaning and if that doesnt work it could also be the battery or the starter as one of the other guys mentioned above.

hello,

Thanks for all the repls and tips. but the VW dealer fixed the problem they say it was the starter so they replaced it for me for about $700.
but the that $700 i had to pay out of my pocket but my warranty will send me a check. they also said that my Oxygen censor is broken aswell,
but the enginge light doesnt go ON so i didnt bother changeing it but it seems like i kill more gas than ever is that the problem? should i change it?
thanks again.
