Hello, 2 things make that noise that I am aware of. A failing power steering pump. , Or a vacumn leak. you say its not an exhaust leak. Your Turbo is a real high pitched whistler, Normally well muffled by the exhaust piping. A cracked vacumn hose can really be hard to find. They are small, and do deteriorate over time. On 15 plusyr old cars you often have to replace all of them. Yours is not new and may have a loose one. Allan

yo! cheers for the reply!

erm, the power steering pump is a good bet as there had been problems with the power steering back when i bought the car. although i it may not be as its triggered by the accelerater, not the steering in any way. humm.

thanks alot man!
