Hello,
I am looking for a solid mechanic that specializes in volkswagen in the the Northern New Jersey region. Do you guys have any recommendations or urls to resources so I can find a mechanic in my area?

Any help would be greatly appreciated; I was driving home from R.I. this weekend and the ABS light came on, I want to check that out and also check out the suspension as it has been squeaking for some time now. Basically I want to find someone in my region for overall maintenance.

Many thanks,

-Lou

Not sure if you know the Bloomfield/Montclair area? The BEST I've found is J.Q. Automotive in Bloomfield. The first work they did for me was front and back brakes (rotors, pads, everything) and they came in at almost HALF of what the dealer rapists were going to charge. They've fixed everything from electrical problems, to power windows, to replacing the belt tensioner on the '99 Passat I had until a couple of months ago. They do a lot of work for a high volume Audi reseller in Norther NJ, too.

They were recommended to me by a friend who also has a Passat. Look them up on the www. Father and son, Jim and Jim. Tell them Mia sent you!

GOOD LUCK.
