idle control

hi my polo dusnt seem 2 idle propa wen am driving its ok b4 i drive, wen im driving i take my foot off the accelerator the revs bounce up and down about 4 time b4 it settles down alot ov times it cuts out cud any 1 help me plz......... thanx

My Polo can cut out when it's been.. Moving quickly - when it's stopped and idling.
But I've never heared of the revs bouncing, is the engine reving too, or is it just the rev counter jumping around?

I have the same problem, My rev meter goes up but the engine is not reving. The car occasionaly stalls and while driving the rev meter bounces up and down and then settles out.

Hi,where is this EPC located on the Polo.I am having very similar problems with my 96 Polo 1600 and have tried just about everything except the ECU.
