I need a transmission! |
|
My transmission AND clutch gave out on me in a period of a week. I have a new clutch setup, but for the life of me I can't find a transmission. The only thing they have locally is one with 180,000 miles on it from the junkyard for $700! I was wondering if any of you know of a parts dealer who ships across the US that is fairly reliable? Thanks for the help, if you have it.

its a 020 trans with a green cap for a 98 golf with a 2.1 liter. I figure its about 200-300 to ship within the US w/UPS freight and I'm right near Canada in Washington, so anything in the Western US

I need to do a little research first speedzone but I'll get back to you. The numbers, as the guy gave them to me, are 301 211C MZ0 and 1013. This is what is pressed on the cover.

I went to the shop today and I found out the transmission I had was from a junkyard and apparently the number was ground off and replaced by the yard with a serial #. On another original part I found, going from far left clockwise in each nook of this piece that look like a carburetor, 020 301 211C MZ0 1013. I couldn't read a set of numbers, but I assume it was 101; had the same shape.
