| I have a VW 1999 Passat with a Couple of Issues |

I have owned it for 3 Years and now my Transmission will not shift from second gear. It goes on Reverse fine, but the dashboard is all dark. Can anyone tell me if this might be a sensor problem. The car still drives but I cannot go past 55 because the RPM's are high. Any feedback would be appreciated. This is a great website with good people... Thanks!! Gus

If you PRND1 is bdark there is afault in your TCM trans computer it needs to be scaned this is why you only have R and 3rd.
this is to protect the trans for possable further damage.
