heavy buzzing noise from the passenger side 2003 Jetta |
|
Hi,
I am a newbie and would like to say a big hello to ya all out there.
I have a 2003 Jetta Wagon 2.0 GL. When I run the A/C for a little while I start to get a big buzzing sound from the passenger side inside the cabin. This happens after the car has run for a while. This does not happen on the freeway. So I guess its somethig that is slow speed related. I suspect the belt, but I am not sure. The moment I shut the AC off , the noise goes away. Sometimes the noise rises and slowly fades away, as if the belt is gripping back. I may be wrong, but I need help fast, as down here in Texas the heat is bad and I will be toast without the AC. I took the cabin filter out to check, as the noise seems to come from somewhere there, but could not pinpoint it.
Any help will be highly appreciated.
Thanks,

you could have a belt noise. it does not hurt to change out.
also you can use soapy water to check belt noise.
