Heated Seats not working on 2000 Jetta TDI |
|
Hi,
Our 2000 Jetta TDI's heated seats aren't working. The heated seats worked very intermittently at first ( we bought it used) , but now they do not work at all. I was wondering if any one has an idea as to what could be wrong, and how we can fix it... I called a dealership and was told that it would take at least 2 hours to diagnose and fix the problem. My husband usually does the maintaince on our vechicle, so I was hoping we could fix the problem ourselves...
Are there any manuals out there for fixing them?
Thanks!

I just bought my 2000 Jetta GLS VR6 (used). And I noticed that the driver heated seat doesnt work too. My passenger heated seat works, but not the driver. I will contact the dealer soon, and write back what they say.

i had that issue in my 95 jetta...the passenger seat heater ended up dying and the driver side slightly worked. luckily in my 01 everything works fine for now. once those suckers go out, they are out. it is expensive and timely to fix, almost not worth it. i had a friend get his fixed in his honda, he spent over $500. they have to completely take apart the whole seat and work on the electrical. good luck!
