 GOLF GE 98 MODEL starting problems |

 Hi all,sometimes my golf starts and sometimes not,replaced the coil,a bit better but when i crank it starts,idling is high and mis fire and then the idling normalize.Then i switch the car off,and then start it again,but this time it dont want to start.after a few hours it starts again and only once,after i switch it off again i try again,you can hear it wants to start but no luck.you smell a lot of fuel on the second try.no leaks,no presure loss at pistons,good presure from fuel pump,new coil.
any sugestion PLEASE.
