Golf 3, speedometer jumps when I get some speed |
|
Hi All!
Recently speedometer started jumping when I get more than 20 km/h. Pointer just jumps for 15-20 km up periodically .
What was happened? Did anybody encounter similar problem?
The car is 1993 year, made in Wolfsburg.
Thanks in advance for any help!

you have a cluster curcuit board that has a broken soider point or a volt regulater that is going bad inside the cluster.

you would need to remove the cluster to open it up and take every thing out of it to get to the board that makes every thing happen then looking with a 10X eye piece look at each soider point to look for cracks or burnt points.
is that alot better it is a big job if you have never done it before.

It's fixed . The problem was due to poor ground contact on accumulator and/or on place near gearbox, where 4 wires contact ground.
Sorry for my technical English. I do not know auto terminology in English
