Fuse Box on Golf II? |
|
Hey guys,
I'm pretty new to the VW scene, but I like what I'm seeing and driving so far. Have an 85 Golf II that I just purchased a few days ago and it just runs like a top! A bit of a concern as I was driving it yesterday. As it was getting darker, I popped the lights on and thought "Hmm. The instrument cluster lights are pretty dim." Until I realized, they weren't on at ALL! Since I'm fairly busy (two jobs and school) I did not have time to poke around to find the fuse box and see if there is a blown fuse. The other problem is that the car did not come with the manual, so I have NO idea where to start! Can anyone point me in the direction of the fuse box and which fuse the instrument cluster is located on?? Thanks for your replies!

If you dashboard lights are dim, then the switch where you put the lights on here is a littke rocking/rolling switch move it and the dash area will get brighter and darker.
As for the fuse box, if its like mine, then its on the Driver side under the steering wheel near the door in a recess with a flap which says something like electronics centre or something will take a pic and check exact text when I next go out in it.

I forgot to add that the back of that flap tells you what each fuse is for..
