 Engine probs on 61' project beetle |

i have a 61 VW beetle and it is my restoration project. this is still in the beginning stages.
When i first got it it had a problem where it never stayed on in neutral for very long and stalled every time i push in the clutch when coming to a stop at stop signs and traffic lights. I got it tuned up by Painters Grinding here in Denver at the same time i was having the floor pans replaced and it ran fine for the most part, except it would start to stall when i pressed on the gas to accelerate from street lights after the engine was warm.
Most recently i pulled it out of the snow and it is back to having the neutral stall problem again. anyone know what this could be?

Hello check your Idle speed adjustment and also check to see if it has a dash pot or ether a throttle kicker soliniode on the carb that is not working properly. thats the best I can help. Good luck with the 61 resteration.

Thanks. the auto idler adjust may be it. ill have to see what level it is on
