Post DTCs - Fault Codes Reply with quote
Hi everyone,
I recently bought a 2005 Polo 1.2 (9N), now i need to know where to get a detailed list of DTCs (Fault Codes).
Does anyone knows how to get it? I have like 4 items in the fault list ... just by cleaning the list and expecting a new diagnostic (but free of fault codes) didn't solve any as i expected ... help me, please.
Many thanks.

You can get a nice list from Bentley online.

just Google VW DTC's and you will have a list of sites find the Bentley one there you will find what you wont and it's free.

here is the link.

By the way, do you know how can i solve a P0171 problem? The car also makes some noise located somewhere nearby the exausthion area (maybe the colector's area) when speeding up above 3.500/4.000rpm, it sounds like when you've got a big hole in the rear exhaust parts, do you know what i mean? Could it be from the catalytic system? Sometimes I've got also a DTC related with the lambda sonda, but i thing this could be just a consequence not the main trouble.
From a 2005 car with just 28 kilometers it seems a kind of strange, don't you agree?
Many thanks again!
Best regards,
Lambertino
