Driver Rear Window went down, wont come back up. |
|
1998 Jetta Wolfsburg, 5 spd, 2.0, 190k. (Power Windows)
The windows in the rear were well fogged up when i was backing out of my drive today. So i rolled them both down and then both back up again to get rid of the condensation.
The Passenger Window worked fine, But the drivers side made a weird noise, and just stayed down.
I can hear the motor for the window working, but it is just not moving.
Of course this sort of thing would happen on a sunday when my regular guy and the dealership are both closed.
And of course in december, when its about -10C.
Anyone got an idea of what i can do myself today, im rather competent, but i dont wanna start prying off the door panel of i dont have to.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
Thanks

if you can hear the motor run then try to pull the window up to the top then operate the window switch to bring the regulator up to the window. that should hold it up till you have your Guy at the shop you take it too to fix you regulator pin that holds the window into the regulator.
hope this helps out.
