crazy things going on |
|
my mass ar flow senor check engine light keeps on coming on some times it goes all crazy and the car starts reving by its self and skipping when i press the gas.and other times the light just comes off and the car acts normal like nothing happend.. this happens like 3 times a week and then the car goes normal again...ithink its the wireing that keeps on coming lose does any one lese think that? i cleaned the maf sensor and cleaned out the air intake and nothing so what do you guys think
OH and i have a 1997 jetta glx vr6

could be wiring ir it could be the internals of the sensor. i'd change it to rule that out.

iam going to change it tommorow i heard you clean the sensor before you put it in is that true?

i just noticed this about my maf when my gas starts to get low a little below half almost empty my check engine light comes on for the maf and starts acting crazy...but right when i fill up the gas tank the car acts normal and the check engine light comes off for the maf thats crazy i ve been keeping my gas tank over half and the light hasnt came on and today i let it go almost empty and the check engine light came on again and the car started acting crazy thats some crazy stuff has this ever happend to any body else..is my maf messed up or is it something else?
