Please help, i have a broken 16V KR golf piston, i am unable to source one from the dealers as they are now extinct. i have a 8 valve engine from a golf, would these pistons work???? I know the part codes are different but im wondering what will happen with compression ratios and what not. please help me o gods of knowledge. i am very new to this game, any help would be greatly appreciated.

there are piston sets out there but you will have to go after market.
I have built maney a 16V motor i use JE pistons and some Times Wiseco.
they can be a bit pricey but you can redo it just fine.

as for 8v to 16v not the same Crying or Very sad
