I have been having problems with my ac leaking. I noticed it in the beginning of the summer. When I put it on and after awhile there would be some leakage on the passenger side. it would drip onto my mat from the back of the dash. Didn't think anything of it b/c it wasn't more than a few drops. When I would drive you could hear the water slushing around somewhere. Now this past weekend I was driving using my ac and it leaked so bad that the entire passenger side floor was soaked with a huge puddle.

Any idea what could be the cause of this leak??

we had the same problem in my dads cressida...granted its not a jetta but this may help you a bit. he had the leak in the floor board and also the slushing sound when accelerating, turns out his heater core was leaking.
hope that sheds some light on your problem....good luck

I'll have to take a look at that, the only thing is we smelt it and its definietly water not antifreeze so for some reason the ac isn't draining out like it should and is instead draining into the car.
