ABS Warning Light and Radio Fault |
|
Hi,
The ABS warning light intermittently comes on. The ABS is working and during it's last service I asked them to look at it but they found no fault. I tested the brakes and the ABD does work. Any ideas?
Also there is an intermittent fault with the radio. It randomly cuts out (usually accompanied with a loud bang or screech from the speakers). Sometimes it doesn't work at all. If I turn the radio of/on sometimes it works again, well until it cut's out again! Is this just a loose wire?
Are the two faults perhaps related? Any thoughts are welcome.
Thanks
Mathew

Hello from Canada, Sounds like a loose wire. I think there are 2 other possibilities you should check.
#1 your brake fluid level switch may be switching at a normal level. Not common ,but it happens just add a bit of fluid.
#2 your e brake handle switch is very sensitive and if slightly out of adjustment will also trigger a false alarm. Some vehicles use a seperate circuit for these 2 switches, some trigger the abs warning. Ask your dealers service dept. Allan
