99 Beetle Acceleration Issues |
|
Hey everybody. I got a beetle a few months ago, now its time i find some people that know things about them! I havent really had any issues with it up until now. Its a 99 with the 2.0 automatic. Check engine light has been on for about a month now, car is progressively getting worse with acceleration, just doesnt seem to have power. I replaced the fuel filter today, no luck. Something is wrong with my wiring harness, so I cant have the codes read. I do know that the catalytic converter is rattling, sounds like the baffles inside have rusted, maybe something is plugged up? Any ideas are greatly appreciated!

do you have a after market radio in the car?
if so pull the fuse have codes rechecked.
aslo if the cat is rattling then ther is a big concern to have it fixed.
