Hello,

I seem to have a problem with my 97 golf hatch back. My rear wiper started working on it on and now it wont stop. It started to go on and off and now it got worse. also my right signal does not work when I press brake. When i let go of the brake it seems to work again. My left signal feels like its quicker than my right signal I am not sure what this is can anyone help me?

Tough to know for sure without seeing the car but here's a couple ideas I'd try first-

1. when the left signal blinks faster than the right, it typically means a bulb burned. Check the front and rear turn signal bulbs.
2. the issue with the brake and turn signal not working together sounds like you might have lost a ground, assuming you have one bulb for brake light and one for turn signal. Check the bulb sockets for rust or any other corrosion defects. If one bulb does both the brake and the turn signal, it may be just the bulb.
3. the wiper working by itself could have lots of reasons. Sounds like it shorted across the power line if it runs all the time. Your switch on the steering column may be bad or check your connections back where the power and ground connect to the wiper motor.

Hope those ideas help.
