96 Jetta GL won't start |
|
Actually it does...but only when I wiggle the steering wheel to the left a couple times. I'm extremely worried, however. It would not start today adn I thought it was a gas issue, it wasn't, I thought it was battery, but the door opening sounds and radio and windshield wipers were working it just wouldn't turn over. I then wiggled a bunch of times and it worked. Is it the starter? Anything else you may think?

Hello, I see 2 possibilities. The most likely by far is that your replaceable switch is failing. This is a dealer item. You can relpace it yourself,, although it is not real fun. I just did mine at a cost of $24.95 The unlikely one is a loose connection from the plug, onto the replaceable switch. Allan
