NO DO NOT USE IT. if you wont real problems. VW is not going down that road they are trying to get BIO diesal handled. This is where VW wonts to be. Plus VW's are German Cars with big Euro History. They just wont to run and run fast.
Sorry about not be able to use ethanol. but I have heard some bad repair cost with cars that are made to run on this stuff.
Not makeing much sense to spend more money on repairs than fuel.

Out here in California we have 10 % added in are fuel this is fine as you have no choice. The higher % is real bad like the new E85 ethanol is not good for normal gas cars. But the 10 % mix you can not get away from. That is why I recomend using the highest grade possable.
You can look at cost for gas this way.
I just filled up My 2002 Euro van 91 Octane that is the highest we can get out here.
It cost $4.55 A gallon at $91.00 dollors The cheapest is $4.25 witch is 87 octane.
I put 20 gallons in the tank. The differanc in cost if I used 87 would be only $6.00 dollors.
So going cheap is not really that cheap.
since you will loose it in fuel economy. It would cost you more to fill up sooner than later.
Sorry for my rant I have been dealing with this topic alot with my customers.
