2004 GTI headlights not working |
|
I noticed that the headlights are not working on my 04 GTI, the parking lights or 'safety lights' work fine during normal operation, but when I flip the switch to turn on my headlights the lights do not go on. My brights work, just not the headlights. Tail lights and blinkers are working fine.
How do I change the fuse, could this be a possibility of what's wrong? Car has 65,000 miles. I am original owner. Thank you!
P.S. Hello to everyone I am new to the forum.

im pretty sure you need to change the bulbs. this happened in my left headlight. i doubt it's a fuse and don't let anyone try to tell you that you need a new lamp, they are trying to rip you off. more than likely it's just a bulb. something that isn't that hard to do yourself. as far as i know there are seperate bulbs for the high and low beams. but i could be wrong. do a little more research.. the best thing to do instead of posting a bulletin is to do a search on this site first for existing posts and solutions.. go to search and type "gti headlights" you should be able to find something..

Story of my vdubs.
2001 jetta head light out once and tail light out twice, just bulbs.
04 GTI head light once and tail light once bulbs again.
Just replace the bulb and you are good to go. And yeah they are separate bulbs for Hi and Low beam.
