 2003 gls dtc 301,302 |

Hi all, first time caller. I bought my 16y/o daughter an 03 gls. Great car she loves it. However her check engine light has come on and off a couple of times. My wife took it to A-zone and they told her it had a 301&302 dtc. They told her this was for an ignition miss fire on 1 & 2. Just curious if this is true and if this is a common problem? Car doesn't seem to be missing @ all. Could this be due to her killing the motor? We are still teaching her how to drive a manual. Question 2, A friend told my wife we should replace the water pump as they come apart and damage the motor. Anyone know anything about this? Could this be the electric water pump? Question 3, When should the t-belt be replaced ( is this a 0 tollerence motor ). This is a 1.8t. Thanks in advance for the info.
