 2002 VW Golf Warning Light |

what does this warning light mean? my manual got wet and i can't open it anymore! help!
i hope this image is big enough to see...

That means your engine computer is reporting an error. Best bet is to take the vehicle to autozone or someplace that reads OBDII codes. List the codes on here and someone might be able to help you out.
If the light flashes, don't drive the car, that's a bad sign. If it's solid, then it's more than likely okay...but still be expeditious in obtaining the computer codes and fixing the problem(s). Otherwise, failing to fix the problem now could potentially lead to bigger (and more costly) problems down the road (such as burning out your catalytic converter because fuel mixture is too rich).
