2002 polo brake lights |
|
Hi folks I am new to this forum, as of today, need some help with my daughters 2002 1.2 12v polo. the brake lights did not come on, so first checked the bulbs, both OK, moved on to Brake light switch removed, found no obvious problem but when i put the switch back in, both brake lights where on all the time with or without ignition on. I assumed I had a faulty switch, purchased a new one from the local dealer, identical part number, but plunger is about twice as long. Bad news as soon as I plug the swittch in the lights are still on permanently. My guess is that there is a relay stuck in somewhere, b ut as i am new to this car and have no wiring diagrams I am looking for comfirmation of diaganostics and if on the right track, info as to where i will find the relay.
thanks all in advance
