2001 Jetta signals dont work. hazard button buzzes? |
|
My friend has a 2001 VW Jetta and signal lights are not working all around. The Hazard lights works fine. If you activate the the directional (when the hazard is off) to the left or right the hazard button buzzes and the signal light wont work. Fuses look good and i have no idea were the flasher is at. Any ideas? thank you.

Hello, MMMM each year is wired a bit differently than the last, often changes were made mid year. First, looks can be decieving. Use a test light on both sides of your fuses and confirm that they are intact.
Next record your serial number and most importantly your VIN date of manufacture from the drivers door post. Go to your library and see if they have a wiring diagram . The flasher unit is usualy located on the fuse panel. You need to know wich position its in such as "J" . Good luck allan
