2000 Jetta VR6 GLX - Squeaking |
|
For the past couple of months I've noticed that whenever I drive over bumpy surfaces there's a very embarrassing squeaking sound coming from underneath my car. (it sounds like an old jalopy when I drive down my unpaved alley!!)
My mechanic is quite certain that it's a dry bushing… but he doesn't know which one. When I was researching Jettas I noticed that there were quite a few complaints about squeaky bushings. So I'm hoping that maybe someone knows which one of them would be the most likely culprit.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Just a quick update and a bit of extra info about the squeaking come from my car. Last night I tried getting the car to squeak while it was parked. No amount of pushing on the hood or the trunk would illicit a squeak. (ie. up and down movements didn't work) However, when I rocked the car from side to side it squeaked a lot.
Any ideas?
