1999 golf Won't stay running |
|
Hello all,
I have a 1999 VW Golf MK-3 With approx. 152000 kilometers on it and it will not stay running. Check engine light is on and the following codes are appearing: P1225 (Injector Circuit Cylinder 1 Short To Ground), P1226 (Injector Circuit Cylinder 2 Short To Ground), P1227 (Injector Circuit Cylinder 3 Short To Ground), P1228 (Injector Circuit Cylinder 4 Short To Ground), O2 sensor short to ground. I have changed out the ignition coil and the rotor button and the problem still persists. It seems that i can drive the car more when it is cool (about 10 minutes) and shuts down when it heats up, then i have to wait for approx. 3-5 minutes before the it will start and will quit within 1-2 minutes or less. I am at loss at finding the problem and is wondering if anyone can help.

Change the fuel pump relay and the car works perfect now. Thank you so much for the help. Cheers!
