1993 1.8cc Golf CL auto(carb)......Running problem when cold |
|
Hi i do hope some one can help.............As above after i have started the car from cold and leave it ticking over it will eventually die if you don't use the throttle,if it does die it starts straight away with no problems and then will do the same if you don't keep it running with the throttle pedal.
If after you have started it you start to drive it straight away..when accellerating if you hold the gas pedal in one position to drive, the car just loses all power.......to keep it going you have to push the gas pedal down hard to keep it running, once the car has warmed up it runs fine,so it is only when it is cold that the problem occures.
I need to sort this running problem out asap because i need to sell this car cause it uses to much petrol and at £107.9 gbp a litre its to expensive to run so i need something cheaper on the gas.
Any kind of help would be very good
Cheers Dudes

Your car car has several cold enrichment items that would need to be checked.
also a bad Idle Air Conrol valve will cause cold rough running or poor idle.
