03 WOLFSBURG 1.8T - INJEN COLD AIR INTAKE AND MODS |
|
How much horsepower does this Injen Cold Air Intake add on? Anything I should know about installing it or removing the factory intake? What are some other good mods I can get? Is a turbo-timer a good idea? Any good exhaust systems?

i have seen alot of 1.8t with magnaflow cat back exhaust systems, from what i have seen it gives great power and sound. i am currently looking into getting some mods for my 1.8t as well, i just dont know which path to take. let me know how ur cold air intake does in your car that is probably going to be my first buy.

The Injen intake will probably get you 8.9 horsepower gain In your 1.8t. I have it on my car,
The K&N intake is the best personally, because you can switch it to a short ram when it rains.
K&N is not carb approved as the injen is, so if you get pulled over often, go with injen. If you
drive with the injen in rain, it will begin to idle rough due to the moisture. If you have the money
some performance pulleys would go good. IF you got a a job that pays big money, a perfomance
intercooler would be the way to go.
