00 Jetta Headlights stopped working, brights are still fine |
|
I have a 2000 Jetta GL 2.0 that all of a sudden both daytime running headlights went out. The brights work fine when I push the lever forward or pull it back, as normal. I ofcourse looked at the fuses and both are fine, so I guess I'm thinking a short somewhere. I popped off the paneling to the lower left of the steering column to take a better look at the wiring, but it's pretty hidden in there. Reaching in though, everything seemed to FEEL secure.
I've googled this and it's come up a few times here and there, but I haven't been able to find any answers yet. Anyone know where to look for the problem? Thanks!
Dave

sounds good. I'll see if I can get a book to find that. Would you know what it would look like if it was burned out? Would it be obvious? Thanks.
