Hello from a retired guy in Toms River NJ with an '03 VW 1.9L TDI Jetta automatic with a Greasecar kit installed almost three years ago and about 40,000 miles of WVO use. Currently has about 77,000 miles, 2nd owner, but it's leaking something all over the passenger's front brake rotor and the timing belt area.
Can anyone suggest a competent vw diesel mechanic to check this out (and the entire car for any other repairs), who's in the Toms River area of NJ? I was told if it was oil leaking on the timing belt it could degrade the (100,000 mile) belt, so I haven't used it much in the past two months or so. (Use my wife's Beetle whenever I have to.) Not trying to ruin the engine by taking a chance. Basically I'm looking for a diesel mechanic in my area, to trade his expertise and labor for cash, and I'll supply all the parts.
Thanks, Harry in Toms River, NJ
